Phil Boyer has been a political activist since 1968 and is a retired labor lawyer with forty-one years of experience. He is also a former history teacher, with a keen interest in progressive politics and following in Jesus’s path.

During his career, he has volunteered in fourteen presidential campaigns, drafted two city ordinances which were adopted, and was the president of a Maryland public interest group which lobbied Congress in favor of nuclear arms control.
