TWO MILLION DEATHS

According to the New York times, at least 2 million people will die this year as a result of the Unlawful Closure of US AID. Yes, Two Million. Yes, just this year, but there is likely to be more in the future.

Even if the Supreme Court declares the closure unlawful, and even if Trump complies with that decision [no sure thing]  it will not bring two million people back to life or clean our blood-stained hands. Even then, it will take decades to resurrect US AID, and it6 may not even be possible.    

FYI: According to the Times, The growth in Elon Musk’s wealth just since the election would fund US Aid for several years, saving unknown millions of people.

Legally, the death of these two million would not be First- or second-degree murder. It  might be considered Voluntary Manslaughter, but Mass Manslaughter does have the catchy impact of mass murder.

In any case, the Supreme Court has ruled that Presidents are immune from prosecution for “Official Acts”. Only in our obscene era would the killing two million people be an “Official Act.” .
